Don't fire all ten shots at it in the air, always leave at least one or two! As when it lands there's a brief window to get a nice shot off at it. Once spooked into the air, there's a good chance you can get them. They have GOOD eye sight, so if you move slow they'll see you coming and have plenty of time to slink into the bushes.
Stop when your heart rate goes up to catch your breath. (Using the hard / polymer rounds and the 22) I haven't tried the decoys yet, but because the duck decoys I have haven't impressed me yet.ġ) Run (don't walk) up and down the tree lines near any active turkey need zone.
I have found two good ways to hunt turkeys for full integrity! Neither of them are terribly consistent at getting a turkey to show, but I can consistently get gold/silvers almost every single time one does show itself.
